The MÜSİAD Tourism Sector Board convened in Van as part of the 5th Region Meeting and Consultation to discuss the current state of regional tourism, its challenges, and proposed solutions.

The MÜSİAD Tourism Sector Board's 5th Region Meeting and Consultation was held in Van. The meeting began with opening and welcoming remarks by MÜSİAD Van Branch President Abdullah Aras. Aras discussed MÜSİAD's mission, activities, and contributions to the tourism sector, and also addressed the challenges facing tourism in Van.

Following this, Tourism Sector Board President Murat Kundak addressed the board and outlined the activities undertaken by the board. Mecit Kılınçarslan, Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Sector Board, introduced himself and delivered his speech.

Then, the protocol speeches began. Reşit Yaren, a member of the Van Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board, expressed his pleasure at hosting MÜSİAD in Van. Çetin Demirhan, President of the Van Hotel and Tourism Association, and the Vice President of the Association shared the problems faced by the city's tourism sector and proposed solutions. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Özer, a faculty member at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University and a member of the Van Lake Activists, discussed the steps needed to increase Van's tourism potential. TÜRSAB Van Regional President Cevdet Özgökçe also made sectoral assessments and offered his views on the necessary initiatives for the development of Van tourism.

In the third part of the meeting, our members introduced themselves, sharing their thoughts and the challenges they face regarding the tourism sector in Van. Oktay Karaniz, Vice President of the Tourism Sector Board, stated that tourism stakeholders in the region should unite and work to promote Van, and that neighboring countries, beyond Iran, should also prioritize promotion. Taner Gündoğan and Çetin Şahin, Vice Presidents of the Tourism Sector Board, also offered suggestions for resolving tourism problems in the region. Following this, Murat Kundak, President of the Tourism Sector Board, presented an Orphan Certificate to Abdullah Aras, President of the Van Branch.

At the end of the program, a family photo was taken with all participants. Following the iftar dinner, the regional meeting concluded with a prayer and consultation.
