MAHMUT ASMALI

Born in 1967 in Rize / Pazar, Mahmut Asmalı completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Istanbul and his university education at Karadeniz Technical University, Department of Civil Engineering in 1989. He started his professional life as a field engineer between 1989 and 1998, and he undertook many successful projects and served as Assistant General Manager in the private sector.

In 1998, he left the company he was working for and founded Akyapı Construction with an engineer friend. For 23 years, he has carried out projects in all areas of the construction sector from factories to qualified residences-villa constructions, from industrial sites to shopping centres, from hospitals to schools. The company continues its activities with new projects.

In addition to the construction sector, there are automotive and tourism companies, foreign trade companies operating in the chemical sector in the country. Abroad, the company continues its PVC production in Doha, Qatar and construction activities in Frankfurt, Germany.Genel

Asmalı was awarded the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ award in 2009 by the Turkish Economic and Business Ethics Association (IGİAD) for his successful works.
Taking an active role in non-governmental organisations, Asmalı is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Entrepreneurial Businessmen Foundation (GİV), the Economic Enterprise and Business Ethics Association (İGİAD) and the Istanbul Chamber of Civil Engineers (İMO), and carries out social responsibility activities as the Founding Vice Chairman of the AKYUVA Foundation, which carries out activities for orphan children and disadvantaged families.

Mahmut Asmalı has been a member of the MUSIAD family for many years and has served in many different positions. Asmalı served as the Chairman of the Construction Sector Board between 2009-2011, as a Member of the Board of Directors of MÜSİAD between 2013-2017, as the Deputy Chairman of MÜSİAD between 2017-2019 and as the Chairman of MÜSİAD Karz-ı Hasen Fund between 2019-2021. Asmalı was elected as the General President at the 26th Ordinary General Assembly of MÜSİAD held in September 2021.

ABDURRAHMAN KAAN

He was born in Trabzon in 1967. He completed his high school education at Bakırköy Imam Hatip High School between 1980-1985 and his university education at Anadolu University, Faculty of Business Administration between 2008-2013. Kaan later received his Master's degree in Industrial Policies and Technology Management from Istanbul Commerce University. He has been a Board Member at Kaanlar Food Industry since 1985. Since that year, he has actively served as a senior manager in the dairy sector in his own company. While he took part in the hot market until the end of 1995, he utilized the experience he gained in the fields of Production-marketing-sales according to changing market demands from 1996; he also worked as a senior manager in business development and R&D. At the same time, he still continues to sell products to national and international chains. Kaan, who takes an active role in civil society organizations, is among the founding members of the Packaged Dairy Products Association, the most powerful association in the dairy sector. Kaan is also a founding member of the All Restaurants, Restaurants and Suppliers Association (TÜRES) and a member of the High Advisory Board, and is also a founding member of the Packaged Milk and Dairy Products Association (ASÜD). In the past, Kaan worked as a consultant in the Food, Agriculture Sector Board at TÜBİTAK, and served as a Board Member at UTESAV, one of the current foundations of MUSIAD. Abdurrahman Kaan has been a member of the MUSIAD family for many years. The Kaan family has been in MUSIAD since its founding. Kaan served as the Vice President of the Food and Agriculture Sector Board at MUSIAD between 2003-2006, and as the President of the Food and Agriculture Sector Board between 2006-2009. After 2009, he served as a Member of the Board of MÜSIAD as the Vice President Responsible for Sector Boards, the President of Budget and Financial Affairs, and also worked as a member of the Organization for 4 years. Abdurrahman Kaan, who most recently served as the Vice President of MÜSİAD responsible for Domestic Organization and Education, Culture, Research and Publications Commissions, was elected as the 6th President of MÜSİAD at the MÜSİAD Ordinary General Assembly held in May 2017. Kaan handed over his duties to Mahmut Asmalı at the MÜSİAD Ordinary General Assembly held on September 11, 2021.

ÖMER CİHAD VARDAN

Ömer Cihad Vardan, born in 1962 in Hendek, Sakarya, graduated from Istanbul Technical University with a degree in Industrial Engineering in 1983. He completed his Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering at Ohio State University in 1986 and worked as a Research Engineer at the Engineering Research Center for Net Shape Manufacturing in Ohio, Columbus, until the end of 1987. After returning to Turkey, he worked as a Manufacturing Engineer responsible for developing CAD/CAM processes for parts of Stinger missiles at Kale Group. Later, he worked at UTE Holding, selling McDonald Douglas's Unigraphics CAD/CAM software.

In early 1991, Vardan became a founding member and the General Manager of Çukurova Isı Sistemleri, a family business that specializes in industrial heating systems, which he still manages.

From 2008 to 2012, Vardan served as the 4th Term President of MÜSİAD (Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association) and has held other positions, including 5 years as Vice President and 4 years as a Board Member, totaling 13 years of service in MÜSİAD. Additionally, he has held various leadership roles such as President of the Turkish Machine Importers Association, Member of the Assembly of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (İTO), Executive Board Member of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK), Board Member of the Istanbul Development Agency (İSTKA), and the Economic Development Foundation (İKV), and Treasurer of the Natural Gas Appliances Manufacturers and Businessmen Association (DOSİDER).

Vardan is also a member of the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers and the Architects and Engineers Group (MMG). Currently, he is a member of the MÜSİAD High Advisory Board and holds various other important positions, including Chairman of the Board of İKV and DOSİDER, Member of the Turkish Human Rights Council (TİHK), Member of the Turkish-American Business Council of the Ministry of Economy, Member of the Assembly of the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO), Member of the TOBB HVAC Sector Council, Board Member of the Energy Efficiency Association (ENVER), and Audit Board Member of DEİK.

Vardan is married, has two children, and is proficient in English.

AHMET DOĞAN ALPEREN

VICE PRESIDENT

He was born in Ağrı in 1968.

He completed his primary and secondary education in Ağrı and his high school education at Van Alpaslan Teachers High School. He then completed the Department of Finance at Istanbul University, Faculty of Economics and obtained his Bachelor's degree. Alperen, who completed his Master's Degree with a Thesis in Social Structure and Social Change at the same faculty, later graduated from the School of Justice.

He started his business life as the founder and board member of Boğaziçi Education Tourism Joint Stock Company, which was established in 1988. He currently operates as a certified public accountant, financial advisor and independent auditing company as a group company, in which he is a partner and manager. Apart from these, he is the founder and partner of companies operating in education, tourism, IT and various sectors.

Alperen, who also worked as a lecturer at Istanbul MEDİPOL University for a while, has published articles in the fields of Tax Law, TCC, Law of Associations, Insurance Law and Law of Foundations. Alperen also has work in tax audit and litigation processes of companies within the framework of tax legislation.

Alperen has served in various positions at MÜSİAD since 1993. Within the scope of NGO work, he served as an ITO Assembly Member and Committee President between 1995-2009, a TÜRSAB Disciplinary Board Member between 1999-2002, a Komer Kuşadası Congress Tourism Inc. Board Member between 2005-2008, a TOBB Foreign Relations Commission Member between 2005-2009, and has been a UTESAV Board Member and Vice President of the Board of Trustees since 1995.

Alperen, who was elected as a MÜSİAD Board Member after the 26th Ordinary General Assembly of MÜSİAD, was appointed as the Vice President of MÜSİAD; then, at the 27th Ordinary General Assembly of MÜSİAD, he was appointed as the Deputy President of MÜSİAD.

Alperen is married and has two children.

BURHAN ÖZDEMİR

GENERAL PRESIDENT

Born in Akçakoca in 1977, Burhan Özdemir completed his primary and secondary education in Akçakoca. He graduated from Dumlupınar University, Department of Civil Engineering, in 2000, and completed his Master’s degree in Earthquake Engineering at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology in the United Kingdom. During his Master’s studies, he published technical articles in the fields of advanced construction technologies and earthquake engineering in the UK. He is currently at the dissertation stage of his PhD at the Institute of Middle Eastern and Islamic Countries Studies at Marmara University.

Between 2002 and 2005, he worked as a Design Engineer in the Nuclear Energy Department of Jacobs Engineering, one of America’s leading consultancy firms, in the United Kingdom. He took part as a Project Manager in the construction and commissioning projects of the British Nuclear Fuel Limited (BNFL) nuclear stations.

In 2005–2006, he worked as a Project Engineer at Mouchel, one of the leading companies in the UK transportation sector, in the investment projects of the UK Highways and Railways public institutions.

Between 2006 and 2008, he joined CampbellReithHill as a Project Manager, where he took part in the management of Healthcare Integrated Facilities, Public-Private Partnership, and Urban Transformation projects.

At the beginning of 2008, he returned to Turkey and founded the company OPTİMAL. In 2019, OPTİMAL was selected as Turkey’s second fastest-growing company by TOBB. Operating both nationally and internationally, OPTİMAL provides Consultancy and Investment Management services. As one of the leading companies in its field in Turkey, OPTİMAL has carried out numerous projects in Education, Healthcare, Industry, Pharmaceuticals, Environment, Energy, Infrastructure, and Transportation, and has become a group of companies employing more than 500 white-collar professionals.

YUNUS KARTAL

CHAIRMAN OF THE DOMESTIC ORGANIZATION COMMISSION

He was born in Adıyaman in 1985.

After completing his primary education in the Sincik district of Adıyaman, Kartal continued his secondary and high school education in Istanbul through open education. In addition, he completed his memorization of the Qur’an at the Yeşil Mosque Qur’an Course.

Kartal graduated from the Faculty of Theology through open education, while also working in his father’s profession in the family textile workshop to support his household.

In 2008, he continued his business career by establishing his own company under the name Yunus Kartal, during which he carried out contract ironing and packaging services for textile companies.

In 2016, he founded Nisra Tekstil, expanding its operations both domestically and internationally. Kartal currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Nisra Tekstil and continues his professional career as a Board Member of Tumturak Tekstil.

Since 2006, Kartal has been active in non-governmental organizations. He previously served as Board Member and Vice President of the Sincik Volunteers Association in the Sincik district of Adıyaman, and he continues to serve as a Board Member of the association.

Kartal joined the MÜSİAD family in 2017 and has since held various roles, including Member of the Business Development Desk, the Member Relations Committee, Board Member and Vice President of the Textile and Leather Sector, and Regional President of Domestic Organization (Region 3).

Following the 26th Ordinary General Assembly of MÜSİAD, Kartal was elected as a Board Member and appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Domestic Organization, Member Admission, and Member Relations Commission. At the 27th Ordinary General Assembly, he was re-elected as a Board Member and continues to serve in this role. In March 2025, by decision of the Board of Directors, Kartal was appointed Chairman of the Domestic Organization, Member Admission, and Member Relations Commission.

At the 28th Ordinary General Assembly of MÜSİAD, Yunus Kartal was once again elected as a Board Member.

SELİM SAR

CHAIRMAN OF THE INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION COMMISSION

Born in Samsun in 1983, Selim Sar graduated from Fatih University, Department of Industrial Engineering. As part of the Erasmus Program, he completed his graduation thesis at Braunschweig Technical University in Germany on “Usability and Efficiency Analysis of Online Systems.”

He worked in the family company engaged in production and trade in the plastics and packaging industry, focusing on increasing production efficiency and adapting quality systems.

During the same period, he completed his Master’s degree in International Management at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom, preparing his thesis on “An Analysis of the Factors Affecting Foreign Direct Investment Preferences with a Special Focus on Turkey.” Following this, he worked for a period at a multinational company in the UK.

In addition to serving as a manager in the international trade department of the family company, he is currently pursuing doctoral studies at Samsun University in the Department of International Trade and Management.

Since his student years, Sar has been actively involved in various non-governmental organizations. He served in the Central Organization Commission during the founding period of Young MÜSİAD. Between 2015 and 2017, he chaired the MÜSİAD Samsun Branch, and following the 26th Ordinary General Assembly of MÜSİAD, he was elected as a Member of the Board of Directors.

At the 27th Ordinary General Assembly of MÜSİAD, Sar was re-elected as a Board Member and appointed as Chairman of the International Organization Commission.

Selim Sar is married and the father of three children.

MAHMUT SEFA ÇELİK

CHAIRMAN OF THE CORPORATE RELATIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION

Born in Ankara in 1975, Mahmut Sefa Çelik graduated from Kabataş High School for Boys in 1993. Çelik graduated from Yıldız Technical University, Faculty of Civil Engineering, in 1998. Between 1999 and 2001, he worked as a site manager in the Sinpaş Aqua City Project, between 2002 and 2004 he served as Deputy Foreign Trade Manager at Seranit Granit Seramik Inc., and between 2004 and 2005 he managed various distribution investments at the Seranit Bilecik Factory.

In 2005, Mahmut Sefa Çelik was appointed as Deputy General Manager responsible for Project Planning and Administrative Permit Processes at the Sinpaş Headquarters in Istanbul. He has held various positions in Sinpaş Holding companies such as Board Member of Saf REIT Inc., General Manager of Servet REIT Inc., Board Member of Batı Ege Real Estate Inc., General Manager of Oswe Real Estate GmbH, Executive Board Member of Kat Real Estate Development Inc., and Board Member of Ottoman Real Estate Investments Inc.

Mahmut Sefa Çelik currently continues to serve as Board Member of Sinpaş REIT and as General Manager and Board Member of Kızılbük Real Estate Investment Trust Inc.
In addition, Çelik, who has served in various positions in the country’s leading non-governmental organizations, is a Member of the Board of Trustees of Alaca Education Foundation, a Board Member of Boğaziçi Foundation, Vice President of the Shopping Centers Investors Association (AYD), and Vice President of the Association of Real Estate Investment Companies (GYODER).

Mahmut Sefa Çelik was elected as a Board Member at the 28th Ordinary General Assembly of MÜSİAD.

FATİH ALTUNBAŞ

VICE CHAIRMAN OF THE SECTOR BOARDS COMMISSION

Born in Ankara in 1979, Altunbaş completed his primary education at Kocatepe Primary School, secondary education at Konya Private Lale College, and high school at Private Ankara Aziziye High School.

In 2004, he graduated from Başkent University, Faculty of Science and Letters, Department of Turkish Language and Literature. The same year, he began his professional career at Turaç Foreign Trade Ltd. Co. In 2006, he completed his Master’s degree in Turkish Language and Literature at Başkent University, Faculty of Science and Letters.

In addition to serving as General Manager at Turaç Foreign Trade, Altunbaş is a Board Member at Oku Education Inc. and Chairman of the Board of Altunbaş Foreign Trade and Industry Inc. and TSA Defense Inc.

He became a member of MÜSİAD (Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association) in 2013, and in 2017 was elected as a Board Member of MÜSİAD as well as Chairman of the Defense Industry and Aviation Sector Board.

Since 2018, he has been a Member of the Executive Committee of the Defense Industry Specialization Committee of the Ankara Chamber of Industry (ASO).

Since 2019, he has also served as Chairman of the Sterling Shooting Sports Club (SASK).

In October 2019, he served as Chairman of the Organizing Committee at the 2nd MRBS (Military Radar and Border Security Summit) organized by MÜSİAD.

In November 2019, he was elected as Board Member and Secretary General of SİSİAD (Association of Firearms and Explosives Industry Businessmen).

In January 2020, he was elected as Chairman of the Finance Business Council of DEİK (Foreign Economic Relations Board). He is also a member of the Executive Committees for Indonesia and Mozambique.

Also in January 2020, he was elected as Deputy Coordinator Chairman of the DEİK Turkey-Africa Business Councils.

At the 28th Ordinary General Assembly of MÜSİAD, Altunbaş was re-elected as a Board Member, a position he continues to hold.

SELÇUK KAR

CHAIRMAN OF THE LEGAL AND FINANCIAL AFFAIRS COMMISSION

Born in Elazığ in 1975, Selçuk Kar graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Law in 1998 and began his professional career in 1999 as an independent lawyer. Throughout his career, he has mainly specialized in human rights, criminal law, criminal procedure, and penal execution law; he has published numerous articles and interviews in newspapers and magazines in these fields.

He actively took part in many significant cases both in domestic courts and before the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) against human rights violations during the February 28 process. Working in close cooperation with NGOs (such as the Association of Jurists, Mazlum-Der, Human Foundation, etc.), he actively opposed the unlawfulness of coup periods. He represented victims or intervening parties in many prominent social cases, including Mavi Marmara, Yasin Börü, the December 17–25 Judicial Intervention, the Selam-Tevhid Conspiracy, and the July 15 coup attempt.

He contributed to legal reforms by participating in the drafting of the 2005 Penal Code, the Code of Criminal Procedure, and the Anti-Terror Law. He has also been active in the field of foundation law, taking part in the establishment processes of more than 20 foundations. To support the training of young lawyers, he chaired the Law Committee under the Human and Civilization Movement for eight years.

Between 2018 and 2020, Kar served as a Board Member of İGİAD (Entrepreneurs’ Association of Values). He currently holds active roles on the boards of trustees of İGİAD, Akyuva Foundation, and KİM Foundation, as well as on the Central Executive Board of İlim Yayma Society.

In 2021, he was elected as a Member of the Provincial Executive Board at the AK Party Istanbul 7th Ordinary Congress, where he worked in the Social Policies and R&D and Education units. In the 2023 general elections, he was nominated as an AK Party parliamentary candidate for Istanbul’s 2nd District. He is also among the founders of Istanbul Bar Association No. 2 and previously served as Chairman of its Disciplinary Board. He currently serves as the AK Party representative on the Provincial Human Rights Board of the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Turkey under the Istanbul Governorship.

Specializing primarily in criminal law, Kar also has expertise in enforcement and bankruptcy law, labor and social security law, civil law, the law of obligations, and personal data protection (KVKK). He also possesses extensive experience in private law matters such as business partnerships, company mergers, and real estate investment agreements.

DR. ABDULLAH ERİŞ

CHAIRMAN OF THE INDUSTRIAL POLICIES AND INVESTMENT COMMISSION

Born in Istanbul in 1989, Abdullah Eriş graduated from Sultan Fatih Anatolian High School as valedictorian. After completing his undergraduate studies at Koç University, Faculty of Business Administration, he earned his master’s degree at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, Faculty of Business Administration, with a thesis focusing on “The Impact of Social Media Marketing on Processed Food Consumption.” In 2023, he completed his doctoral dissertation on “Antecedents and Consequences of Organizational Role Stress” at the same university, earning his PhD title.

Eriş began his professional career at the family company Eriş Gıda, one of Turkey’s top 250 exporters, which accounts for 10% of Turkey’s flour exports and has exported more than 400,000 tons of flour in the past two years, with leading brands such as Miluni, Nudo, Dudomi, and Özde. Between 2004 and 2010, he gained experience in the departments of import, export, marketing, finance, logistics, production, and sales.

From 2010 to 2012, he provided independent auditing services to various global companies. During this period, he was also involved in Eriş Gıda’s international operations and commercial organizations. In May 2012, he became the company’s Foreign Trade Manager, and in June 2013, he was appointed General Manager responsible for retail. Since December 2017, he has been serving both as a Board Member and as General Manager (CEO) of MORAL Energy, the group’s foreign trade company.

Abdullah Eriş also holds board memberships in several institutions, including the Food Advisory Board of Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, the All Restaurants, Locals and Suppliers Association (TÜRES), the Darul Eytam Foundation, the Zaim Technopark Project Evaluation Advisory Board, and the Istanbul Daru’l Funun Theology Foundation. He previously served as Vice Chairman of the DEİK Madagascar Business Council and currently serves as Chairman of the DEİK Angola Business Council.

Having joined MÜSİAD in February 2016, Eriş has taken on significant responsibilities over the past five years. From June 2016 to May 2019, he served two terms as Vice Chairman of the MÜSİAD Food, Agriculture and Livestock Sector Board, and between January 2018 and May 2019, he was a Board Member of the MÜSİAD International Organization Commission. In the 25th term, he served as Principal Board Member of MÜSİAD and Chairman of the Rural Development Committee. Following the 26th MÜSİAD Ordinary General Assembly, he was appointed Chairman of the MÜSİAD Competitive Production and Industrial Policies Commission.

With the 27th MÜSİAD Ordinary General Assembly, Eriş was re-elected as a Board Member and continues to serve as Chairman of the Industrial Production and Policies Commission.

Eriş is married and the father of three children.

MUHAMMED HUZEYFE GÜLLÜOĞLU

VICE CHAIRMAN OF THE TRADE BOARDS COMMISSION

Originally from Urfa, Muhammed Huzeyfe Güllüoğlu was born in Karadeniz Ereğli in 1994. After completing his primary and secondary education in Ankara and Istanbul, he entered Boğaziçi University in 2012, ranking 134th nationwide in the university entrance exam, and graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He is currently pursuing his second degree at Marmara University Faculty of Law.

During and after his university years, he sought to gain experience in numerous national and global companies in the private sector. He gained hands-on experience in the family business operating in the energy sector, particularly in the installation of thermal power plants and hydroelectric power plants. After working in strategy at a UK-based consultancy firm, he held senior management positions in the energy sector. He is now a Managing Partner at Gust Renewable Energy Company, which he co-founded. Gust Energy develops, installs, and invests in renewable energy power plant projects, primarily in the Balkans, as well as in Turkey and other countries.

Having joined Young MÜSİAD in his early 20s, he actively served in various roles for 10 years until reaching the age limit. He served three terms on the Board of Directors of Young MÜSİAD, working in the Universities, Domestic Organization, Education, and Strategy Commissions. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Young MÜSİAD following the 15th Ordinary General Assembly in 2023. During this term, he also assumed the role of President of Young MÜSİAD, a position he handed over on April 19, 2025, at the 16th Ordinary General Assembly of Young MÜSİAD due to the age limit.

In May 2025, at the 28th Ordinary General Assembly of MÜSİAD, Güllüoğlu was elected as a Member of the Board of Directors.

ZELİHA KURT

VICE CHAIRMAN OF THE TRADE BOARDS COMMISSION

Zeliha Kurt, born in 1981, is originally from Trabzon. She successfully completed her secondary and high school education. In 2006, she graduated from the Department of Industrial Engineering at Fatih University, where she was listed on both the Honor and High Honor lists. After graduation, she studied Foreign Trade at the University of California, Irvine; she completed an internship at a company in Los Angeles related to her field, and later worked in the sales department of another company. She stayed in the United States for about a year, both studying and stepping into professional life. In 2007, she began working at their family business, Makisan Makine.

Makisan, a machining company, produces for Turkey’s leading tractor and defense industry firms. The company has factories in Pendik and Düzce. Zeliha Kurt contributed to the development of the Production and Quality departments, while also establishing the Export Department to enable overseas production. Since 2010, she has been managing all the company’s financial operations. Since 2020, she has been serving as Vice Chairman of the Board of all group companies. In 2021, she localized a product that was not previously manufactured in Turkey, starting production with a fully automated system. She became a member of Young MÜSİAD in 2007 and actively served in the Organization Unit.

Between 2008 and 2011, Kurt was a Board Member of Young MÜSİAD and Deputy Head of the Organization Unit. In 2010, together with her partner, she founded a shawl and scarf brand, for which she was awarded the Young MÜSİAD Entrepreneurship Award. Between 2011 and 2012, she served on the TOBB Young Entrepreneurship Council. In 2021, she briefly took part in the MÜSİAD Defense Industry Sector Board and the Machinery Sector Boards, before moving to the Automotive and Transportation Vehicles Sector Board. In 2022, she assumed the role of Vice President, and in the 2023–2025 term, she served as Deputy Chairman of the Automotive and Transportation Vehicles Sector Board.

Zeliha Kurt speaks English and is the mother of two children.

AHMET TARIK GÖR

VICE CHAIRMAN OF THE CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION

Ahmet Tarık Gör is the founder of the advertising agency Met Vibes, established in 2014, and a graduate of the Faculty of Business Administration. With a passionate approach to communication, advertising, and marketing, he continuously develops his knowledge and experience in the sector and shares his expertise by publishing articles on various platforms.

At the same time, he has played an active role in Genç MÜSİAD, the youth organization of MÜSİAD. He served for two years as a Board Member responsible for the Communication Commission, followed by another two years as Vice Chairman responsible for the Communication and Education Commissions. During this period, he led many successful projects of the association and contributed to the development of educational activities.

In addition, he is one of the founders of the International Digital Entrepreneurship Association, where he has made significant contributions to digital entrepreneurship through EU projects carried out under the association.

Ahmet Tarık Gör also has investments in the tourism and food sectors, aiming to contribute to the growth of these industries as well.

Born in Istanbul in 1992, Ahmet Tarık Gör is married and the father of two children. With a vision to be beneficial to society, he attaches great importance to social responsibility projects and voluntary work.

With the 27th Ordinary General Assembly of MÜSİAD, Gör was elected as a Board Member and appointed Vice Chairman of the Corporate Communications Commission.

SEYFULLAH ŞAHİN

VICE CHAIRMAN OF THE DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS COMMISSION

Seyfullah Şahin was born on November 16, 1992, in Istanbul. He is continuing his education with a master’s degree in Project Management at Istanbul Aydın University and completed his undergraduate studies in Business Administration at Eskişehir University. He received his high school education at the Saudi Arabian School in Istanbul.

He began his professional career in Istanbul in 2009 as a partner and organization coordinator at Kafile Tourism Agency. In the following years, he held positions in international marketing, sales, project coordination, and senior management at companies such as Merosa Ltd. Şti., Tayba Gıda A.Ş., Fuzul Yapı A.Ş., and Kasır Yapı A.Ş.

In 2019, he founded Safe İstanbul Construction Real Estate Company, of which he is the owner. The company’s brands include Safeİst Arch, Safeİst Invest, Safeİst Real Estate, Ofİst, and Safeİst Trade. The company operates in fields such as architectural project design, decoration, construction works, import/export of construction materials, and real estate fund management.

Seyfullah Şahin is also active in the field of social responsibility. He serves on the high advisory boards of institutions such as SAFA Foundation, Verenel Solidarity Association, Safa Schools, DİDAR, Mihrimah, Mavi Publishing, and Yeni Dünya Magazine. He became a member of MÜSİAD in 2012 through Genç MÜSİAD, later serving as Vice President of Foreign Relations within the youth organization. He is also a founding member of MÜSİAD Invest.

In the previous term, he undertook responsibilities within the Foreign Organization Unit, serving as Head of MENA Diplomatic Relations. In addition, he was one of the founding members of the Foreign Relations Unit of the AK Party Istanbul Youth Branches. He is also a member of NGOs such as IHH, Himma Youth Association, and the Syrian Businessmen’s Association.

Possessing multilingual communication skills, Seyfullah Şahin speaks Turkish and Arabic at a native level, English fluently, and French at a beginner level.

At the 28th Ordinary General Assembly of MÜSİAD, Seyfullah Şahin was elected as a Board Member.

BÜLENT ŞEN

CHAIRMAN OF THE ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT SECTOR COMMITTEE

Originally from Kars, Bülent Şen was born in 1970 in Fatih, Istanbul. He graduated from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Fırat University in 1990. He began his professional career the same year as an energy engineer at ABB Transformer. Between 1991–1995, he worked as a regional supervisor at Aktaş Elektrik (AYEDAŞ). From 1995 to 2004, he served in various units and positions at İGDAŞ, where he ultimately became Deputy Regional Manager of the Anatolian Region.

In 2004, he joined Bursagaz, which had been transferred from BOTAŞ to EWE, as Sales and Marketing Manager. In 2009, following ENGIE’s acquisition of İZGAZ Natural Gas Company from Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, he became Deputy General Manager and continues to serve at the company as Director of Regulatory Affairs.

Since 2012, through his own company GEP Energy, he has been managing energy projects in renewable energy, regulations, fossil fuels, electricity, and natural gas operations. In 2018, he was elected as a Member of the Assembly of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO), where he also serves as Vice Chairman of the Energy Committee. He is Vice President (Treasurer) of the Executive Board of the Energy Efficiency Association (ENVER).

Şen is a Member of the Advisory Board of the Turkey Energy Summit and writes in the “Agenda” column of Gas and Power magazine, the publication of the same institution. He has also been elected as an Advisory Board Member of the Center for Science and Advanced Technology Research and Application (BILTAM) at Medeniyet University.

He is a Congress Member of Fenerbahçe Sports Club, a Board Member of the Yellow-Navy Association, and a General Assembly Member of the Turkish Red Crescent (Kızılay). In 2021, he was elected as a Board Member of the World Energy Council – Turkish National Committee. He is also an energy expert witness and energy mediator, and has completed his MBA education.

Between 2021–2024, he served as President of the Association of Architects and Engineers Group (MMG). Currently, he is serving as Chairman of the MÜSİAD Energy Sector Committee.

Şen, who speaks English, is married and has two children.
