Born in Akçakoca in 1977, Burhan Özdemir completed his primary and secondary education in Akçakoca. He graduated from Dumlupınar University, Department of Civil Engineering, in 2000, and completed his Master’s degree in Earthquake Engineering at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology in the United Kingdom. During his Master’s studies, he published technical articles in the fields of advanced construction technologies and earthquake engineering in the UK. He is currently at the dissertation stage of his PhD at the Institute of Middle Eastern and Islamic Countries Studies at Marmara University.
Between 2002 and 2005, he worked as a Design Engineer in the Nuclear Energy Department of Jacobs Engineering, one of America’s leading consultancy firms, in the United Kingdom. He also served as Project Manager in the construction and commissioning projects of the British Nuclear Fuel Limited (BNFL) nuclear stations.
Burhan Özdemir was elected as the President of MÜSİAD at the 28th Ordinary General Assembly.
He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Group Companies. Burhan Özdemir is married and the father of four children.

At the beginning of 2008, he returned to Turkey and founded the company OPTİMAL. In 2019, OPTİMAL was selected as Turkey’s second fastest-growing company by TOBB. Operating both nationally and internationally, OPTİMAL provides Consultancy and Investment Management services. Born in 1967 in Pazar/Rize, Mahmut Asmalı completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in Istanbul, and his university studies in the Civil Engineering Department of Karadeniz Technical University in 1989. He began his career as a Site Manager, and he took office as Assistant General Manager in the private sector after putting his signature under many successful projects between the years 1989 and 1998.
