MÜSİAD President Abdurrahman Kaan issued a written statement regarding Turkey's Operation Peace Spring east of the Euphrates.

In his statement, Kaan stated the following:

Due to the challenging conditions of its region, Turkey prioritizes territorial integrity and border security, acting with the goal of becoming a peace hub in its region. While the region is being subjected to practices that aim to depart from peace every day, it is inconceivable that Turkey, the representative of common sense in the Middle East, remains indifferent to this situation. The region must achieve peace and security as soon as possible. In this context, operations aimed at bringing peace and tranquility to the region, which began with Operation Euphrates Shield and continued with Operation Olive Branch, continue east of the Euphrates as our state deems necessary.

From past to present, the Turkish and Kurdish peoples share a common history and have lived in unity and solidarity among the peoples for centuries. In this context, it is unthinkable that the Republic of Turkey would display any hostile attitude towards the Kurdish people, with whom it is fighting the War of Independence under a common flag.

Cleaning the border line of terrorists and achieving security and peace is essential for the Syrian people, who have fled oppression and war, to return to their homeland and seek refuge in Turkey, a land they yearn for. The operation aims to remove the PYD-YPG, the Syrian extension of the PKK, recognized as a terrorist organization by Europe and the US, from Turkey's borders. The sole objective of the operation launched by the Turkish Armed Forces is to fulfill this imperative by preserving Syria's territorial integrity.

As MÜSİAD, we publicly declare our support for our state's actions and the stance of the political will. On this occasion, we wish success to our heroic soldiers in Operation Peace Spring and hope that the operation will bring peace, tranquility, and security to our region, especially to the people of the region, as soon as possible.
