The Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MÜSİAD) condemned Israel's attacks on Gaza and declared once again its support for the Palestinian people.
MÜSİAD issued a statement saying, "These attacks violate human rights, international law, and human values. The massacre in Gaza deeply wounds not only Palestinians, but all Muslims and all conscientious people."
The statement continued, "As MÜSİAD, we find the siege and blockade Israel has imposed on Gaza unacceptable. In an environment where 2.2 million people living in Gaza cannot meet their basic needs and suffer from shortages of electricity, water, fuel, and food, Israel's attacks will have even more dire consequences for humanity. It is clear that a humanitarian crisis is unfolding in Gaza, and the international community must not remain silent."
"As MÜSİAD, we strongly state that we will continue to defend the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and take all necessary initiatives against Israeli attacks in the national and international arena. The Palestinian cause is a cause of civilization for us. This cause is the shared responsibility of all Muslims and all of humanity. Therefore, we invite all non-governmental organizations, the business world, and media organizations in Turkey and the international community to be sensitive about this issue; we call on them to stand with the oppressed Palestinian people." The full statement is as follows:
"As the Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MÜSİAD), we strongly condemn Israel's attacks on Gaza and reiterate our solidarity with the Palestinian people. These attacks violate human rights, international law, and human values. The massacre in Gaza deeply wounds not only Palestinians, but all Muslims and all conscientious people.
As MÜSİAD, we find the siege and blockade Israel has imposed on Gaza unacceptable. In an environment where 2.2 million people living in Gaza cannot meet their basic needs and suffer from shortages of electricity, water, fuel, and food, Israel's attacks will have even more dire consequences for humanity. It is clear that a humanitarian crisis is unfolding in Gaza, and the international community must not remain silent.
As MÜSİAD, we strongly state that we will continue to defend the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and take all necessary initiatives against Israel's attacks, both nationally and internationally. The Palestinian cause is ours. It is a cause for civilization. This cause is the shared responsibility of all Muslims and all of humanity. Therefore, we call on all civil society organizations, the business world, and media organizations in Turkey and the international community to be mindful of this issue and to stand with the oppressed Palestinian people.
As MÜSİAD, we are a family that has always stood with the oppressed. Starting with the earthquake disaster we experienced in our country earlier this year, we mobilized with our members wherever we were in need, anywhere in the world. Now, we are preparing to meet the needs that arose following the massacres in Gaza. Together with our members and the organizations we collaborate with, we will stand strongly with our Palestinian brothers and sisters. During this period, as MÜSİAD, with over 14,000 members, we will provide aid to Gaza through civil society organizations operating for humanitarian relief, such as the Turkish Red Crescent, IHH, and the Sadakataşı Association.
We wish a speedy recovery to the Palestinian people. May God have mercy on the martyrs, and may God have mercy on their families and all Muslims. We pray for patience.
We believe that with God's help, the Palestinian people will be freed from oppression and will triumph in their just cause. It must not be forgotten that leaving Palestine alone means leaving all of humanity alone.
