Yunus Furkan Akbal was re-elected as President of the Young Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (Genç MÜSİAD).
The 14th Ordinary General Assembly of Genç MÜSİAD was held at MÜSİAD Headquarters with the participation of Minister of Youth and Sports Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu, Deputy Minister of Treasury and Finance Nureddin Nebati, MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı, MÜSİAD Founding President Erol Yarar, and former MÜSİAD President Ömer Bolat.
Speaking at the meeting, MÜSİAD President Asmalı wished success to the colleagues who will assume new roles at the congress, saying, "We now have two years ahead of us, working shoulder to shoulder. I have full confidence that as Genç MÜSİAD, we will achieve great things together in these two years, and that you, the young people, will challenge us and make us act with even greater determination."
Asmalı stated that the lands of Anatolia have been molded by the blood of martyrs for a thousand years, adding:
"Because when a homeland is molded by the blood of martyrs, it ceases to be soil; it becomes a homeland. This is how we made these lands our homeland, and throughout history, we have defended our homeland with an uninterrupted struggle. Just as we did on July 15th, we continue to defend them together, together with our nation. Throughout the history of our Republic, the attacks on our homeland, and the resulting struggle, have never diminished. We have been constantly reminded that even if we have owned these lands for a thousand years, we will not be left alone. When we look back over this entire millennium, a crucial point emerges for us as MÜSİAD: whenever we have been economically strong, we have been cherished in every field."
Emphasizing the importance of economic strength, Asmalı said, "We have never been strong in other areas when we have not been economically strong."
Emphasizing the importance of morality in trade and economics, Asmalı said they will continue to strive tirelessly in the new administration.
Asmalı said, "We truly trust you. As a first step, this term, for the first time, we have directly appointed two colleagues from the Young MÜSİAD board to the MÜSİAD board. In other firsts, we elected the Karz-ı Hasan President and the MÜSİAD Women's President from among graduates of the Young MÜSİAD school. Twenty percent of our board of directors are under the age of 35. Most importantly, by amending the bylaws, our Young MÜSİAD will now report directly to the general president."
"We will set sail for new goals with new goals, new projects, and a renewed team."
Young MÜSİAD President Yunus Furkan Akbal also said, "Today, we are celebrating a holiday at Young MÜSİAD. First and foremost, I would like to thank you for the trust you have placed in me. We will work with all our might today, just as we did yesterday, to be worthy of your trust."
Akbal, noting that Young MÜSİAD has undertaken significant work both domestically and internationally under the motto of transformation and action, described these efforts.
Akbal said, "We will set sail for new goals with new goals, new projects, new motivation, a renewed team, and new enthusiasm."
Akbal stated that they will not compromise on their values in the new term, as they did in previous periods. He said, "We will not consume the capital we have accumulated in the past and adopt an inherited attitude. We will undertake much more successful projects with the mindset of a merchant who transforms his wealth into capital. We will focus on new and innovative production, finance, competition, and business models."
