PRESIDENT ASMALIA: OUR MAIN FOCUS SHOULD BE THE ECONOMY IN THE NEXT 4 YEARS WITHOUT ELECTIONS

Mahmut Asmalı, Chairman of the Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MÜSİAD), stated, "As MÜSİAD, we believe that our main focus in the four years without elections will be the economy, low inflation, and sustainable growth."

In a written statement assessing the March 31, 2024 Local Elections, MÜSİAD Chairman Mahmut Asmalı emphasized that the upcoming four years without elections in Turkey should be focused on the economy.

In his statement, Asmalı emphasized the importance of rapidly implementing the priority structural reforms outlined in the Medium Term Program (MTP) to ensure Turkey's economic policies are more sustainable and secure.

Asmalı, who also expressed his hope for auspicious election results and a year of unity and solidarity, said the following:

“As a country, we have left another election behind. We hope that the local elections held yesterday will be beneficial for our country and our citizens, and we congratulate each of the winning candidates. As MÜSİAD, we believe that our primary focus in the four years without elections will be the economy, low inflation, and sustainable growth. In addition to a monetary policy aimed at permanently reducing inflation, the rapid implementation of the priority structural reforms outlined in the Medium-Term Plan is crucial for the development and progress of our country during this period. As MÜSİAD businesspeople, we reiterate our belief that our national economy's production, export, and employment-focused growth process will continue in the coming period. We believe that, united and together, we will navigate the coming period in the most productive way.”
