Abdurrahman Kaan, Chairman of the Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MÜSİAD), issued a congratulatory message on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
In his statement, Kaan stated the following:
Sacrifice was commanded to us through the story of Prophet Abraham.
He who, out of respect for his promise to his Lord, considered it a believer's duty to dedicate what was bestowed upon him as a gift.
He who considered doubting the word and destiny of his Lord a shame.
He who considered the test of his Lord a mercy for himself and considered the power of the test a path for himself.
He who ignored all the whispers of Satan and accepted the One Command as the Truth.
Prophet Abraham was first given the good news of Ishmael. Then, the result of his test was the sacrifice from heaven. The gift of Prophet Abraham's patience, trust, and truthfulness became our holiday. Our Lord gave Him the good news of relief and relief twice after hardship.
Believers are patient. They know that every hardship comes from God and is His supreme test. Let us give thanks its due. Let us not sacrifice our test to rebellion.
Believers are just. They know how to be truthful for the manifestation of justice. Let us give trustworthiness its due. Let us not sacrifice our brotherhood to false pretenses.
Believers are moderate. They know that waste and extravagance will one day lead to waste. Let us give the value of the values we possess. Let us not sacrifice our generations to our ambitions.
Believers are contemplative. They know how to distinguish right from wrong. Let us be like night in covering our flaws. Let us not sacrifice our peace to our anger and hatred.
Believers are sincere. They know that smiling is an act of worship. Let us embrace life together. Let us not sacrifice the beauty of our humanity to arrogance.
Believers are equal. Every human being is precious. Let us appreciate our unity this holiday and give it its due. Let us not sacrifice our unity and brotherhood to discord.
Let us make this holiday a special occasion. Let us erase all the suspicion, hatred, anger, hostility, and envy within us; the suspicion, slander, rust, and lies from our tongues; the doubt, anxiety, and distrust from our minds. Let us not sacrifice our society to the narrowness of this age.
Let us share our sacrifices. Let us celebrate the holiday. Let us do justice to Turkey, the land of charity, sincerity, brotherhood, unity, peace, and trust.
May our Eid al-Adha be blessed, with the hope that it will bring blessings and prosperity to the entire Muslim world.
Abdurrahman KAAN
