NATIONAL PRODUCTION WILL BE STRENGTHENED WITH AHI CULTURE

A cooperation protocol on Ahi culture and the National Production Movement was signed between MÜSİAD, the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education, and the Education Support Platform.

The Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education, the Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MÜSİAD), and the Education Support Platform signed a cooperation protocol to support educational, social, and cultural activities in support of Ahi culture, to support these efforts, and to share experience and knowledge.

The protocol, prepared with the needs of the labor market in mind, will ensure that issues related to technology, equipment, human resources, R&D, production, and other areas related to the creation of the required qualified workforce, as well as projects related to Ahi culture, are evaluated on a multi-faceted basis.

The signing ceremony, held at MÜSİAD Headquarters, was attended by Istanbul Provincial Director of National Education Levent Yazıcı, MÜSİAD President Abdurrahman Kaan, Education Support Platform Istanbul Branch President Seçkin Turan, as well as relevant board members, committee chairs, council members, and school principals.

The scope of the protocol was determined to include revising school curriculum to include Ahi culture, preparing curricula to incorporate Ahi culture as part of the curriculum, and preparing and submitting the necessary materials for this training to the Ministry. Under the signed protocol, training will be provided to teachers and students in schools to introduce Ahi culture. The agreement also stipulates that the parties will support each other's activities to the extent possible, that institutions will jointly undertake all kinds of scientific, academic, social, and cultural studies within the framework of vocational training, and that they will undertake joint activities to develop projects.

MÜSİAD President Abdurrahman Kaan stated, "We are always ready to support vocational education, a national matter," in a statement regarding the protocol. Kaan, noting that young people raised with Anatolian heritage can lead a better world, said, “I must say we are pleased to contribute to the in-service and on-the-job training of our vocational education institutions’ instructors and managers. We must cultivate our youth like precious metals, ensuring they shine. To achieve this, we need to provide skills training and internships in real production environments within businesses. We believe that our young people, with their skills and achievements, will make our country shine. As MÜSİAD, we have emphasized the importance of education at every opportunity since our founding. Today, we have engineers, doctors, and scientists who are world-renowned and have achieved significant success. We know that the essence of this country has the power to raise many more. We take every step with this belief. We have great confidence in Turkey, our youth, and our bright children. Istanbul Provincial Director of National Education Levent Yazıcı, emphasizing the crucial importance of Ahi culture in vocational education, said:

The cooperation protocol signed with MÜSİAD will contribute to the development of quality vocational education, workshop and laboratory installation and equipment on a voluntary basis. We continue our education and training activities with the understanding of productive schools in vocational education. Efforts to develop vocational and technical education are crucial for our strong future. The outcomes of the process of updating the framework curriculum and preparing educational materials that incorporate Ahi culture will truly be a significant achievement in itself. We hope that the cooperation protocol we signed with MÜSİAD and the Education Support Platform, whose roots are deeply rooted in the Ahi culture and awareness of Anatolia and who are working to further invest in education and human resources, will positively contribute to the activities carried out by both institutions, and we attach great importance to this."

Seçkin Turan, Istanbul Branch President of the Education Support Platform, stated that the protocol's purpose and framework are very comprehensive, and that supporting the establishment of workshops/laboratories by vocational training institutions within the scope of the protocol is of paramount importance. Turan stated, "It is important to carry out the proposed curriculum preparation studies shaped by Ahi culture, to prepare the training content, and to create internship opportunities. The protocol will be implemented to train the qualified workforce needed by the sector and to provide technical education, and to support professional activities and projects."
