MÜSİAD ORGANIZES DIPLOMACY AND GOURMET MEETING WITH PARTICIPATION FROM BSEC COUNTRIES

The Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MÜSİAD) will organize a Diplomacy and Gourmet Meeting in Gebze, Kocaeli, with participation from countries within the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC).

The MÜSİAD Diplomacy and Gourmet Meeting, hosted by MÜSİAD Gebze on June 22, 2021, aims to improve relations between Turkey and the BSEC countries, increase international trade diplomacy activities, and promote city branding and culinary tourism.

The event, which will also feature the Istanbul Consuls and Trade Attachés of 11 BSEC member countries (Azerbaijan, North Macedonia, Georgia, Moldova, the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania, Albania, Serbia, and Greece), will be attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Faruk Kaymakçı and MÜSİAD President Abdurahman Kaan.

At the meeting, the Trade Attachés will deliver presentations on topics such as the countries they represent, business and investment opportunities, advantageous sectors, ways to develop trade, export and import products, solutions to commercial problems, and visa and travel procedures.

As part of the event, consuls general and business representatives will meet for networking meetings. The main theme of these important meetings was to focus on increasing trade volumes, the challenges arising during commercial activities, and recommendations for resolving these challenges.

Zeki Güvercin, Chairman of the MÜSİAD Diplomatic Relations Committee, commented on the program and stated that participants will visit and hold meetings with the Turkish Informatics Valley and the Türkiye's Automobile Initiative Group (TOGG).

Güvercin stated the following in his statement:

"As part of the program, participants will meet with representatives of high-tech companies located in the Turkish Informatics Valley.

During visits, which will also include Türkiye's Automobile Enterprise Group (TOGG), information will be obtained about the Turkish automobiles to be produced in 2023.

Following the Turkish Informatics Valley tour, visits will be made to factories operating in the Gebze Organized Industrial Zone.

The meeting will conclude with a special dinner served to the participants. Specially trained Turkish chefs will give presentations on Turkish Culinary Arts and Gastronomy Tourism."
