MÜSİAD ESTABLISHED A CORONAVIRUS CRISIS MANAGEMENT CENTER

Abdurrahman Kaan, Chairman of the Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MÜSİAD), issued a written statement regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which began in China and quickly spread globally.

In his statement, Kaan stated the following:

In line with the measures taken by our government against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), which has affected the entire world, and the circulars issued for their implementation, each of us must meticulously fulfill our responsibilities to overcome this period with the least damage and loss.

In our country, which has demonstrated remarkably successful crisis management during the global pandemic, if this situation persists in the future, it is both our duty as citizens and our responsibility as Muslims to cooperate in following instructions and to act with even greater caution and sensitivity than ever before to overcome this period with the least damage and loss and to maintain our advantageous position.

Since its founding, MÜSİAD has made it its motto to stand by and support our state and people through every challenging period. It considers it a duty to its nation and state to utilize the advantages of its extensive field presence and broad organizational structure in our national action plan.

With this understanding, the MÜSİAD has today launched the COVID-19 Crisis Management Center within MÜSİAD Headquarters to facilitate the implementation of the measures taken at the grassroots level. It will evaluate the requests, complaints, and suggestions received from the grassroots, especially our members, to develop emergency action plans. It will inform our people about the processes and measures. It will ensure that economic, commercial, and sectoral life continues uninterrupted and prevent potential losses in our production balance. It will also convey instant information to the relevant authorities, develop solution sets, analyze changes in the global economic landscape in the form of strategic action plans on a sectoral and regional basis, and, in this context, develop short- and medium-term roadmaps.

This Center will also be operational in select MÜSİAD Anatolian Branches and Foreign Representative Offices in the future. We hope to achieve the aforementioned objectives within the Center and to achieve the best possible implementation of the measures taken by our government in this national struggle through rapid and efficient decision-making processes, ensuring all kinds of information exchange, coordination, and joint action with stakeholders.

All members, and the public in particular, can reach our Center through the MÜSİAD Communication Line and the communication channels listed on our website (MÜSİAD Call Center 444 0 893 or MÜSİAD Corporate Phone Numbers 0212 395 00 00). We would like to reiterate that our professional staff, committees, and board members meticulously process all information received by our Crisis Management Center and stand by decision-makers to ensure the necessary steps are taken.
