MUSIAD Türkiye'S POWER AWARDS ARE AWARDED

The MÜSİAD "Power of Turkey Awards" were presented with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in attendance.

Mahmut Asmalı, Chairman of the Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MÜSİAD), stated that Turkey has made significant progress in every sector over the last 20 years, from the automotive and defense industries to construction and agriculture. He said, "We have proudly witnessed, and God willing, continue to witness, the implementation of unimaginable achievements one by one. Our President's resolute stance, his just perspective, his emphasis on transparency, and his vision for a keen analysis of the future are encouraging Turkey to stand out clearly in almost every sector."

In his speech at the "Power of Turkey Awards" ceremony held at the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) as part of MÜSİAD's 32nd anniversary, Asmalı expressed his hope that the Power of Turkey Awards will inspire businesspeople, industrialists, and entrepreneurs operating in various sectors.

Asmalı stated that they contribute to economic growth within the framework of the Ahi tradition, and that MUSIAD has combined the award ceremonies they have organized in different categories for 17 years, transforming them into a more comprehensive and powerful program this year, titled "Turkey's Power Award Ceremony." Asmalı stated that in addition to the nine awards to be presented today, the one-time "Turkey's Power Special Award" will be presented to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, continuing:

"Backed by the power of God and the people, we have fought against centers of tutelage and coup remnants, paying the price, ensuring that sovereignty rests unconditionally with the nation; we have brought terrorist organizations to heel with determination and the principle of 'One nation, one flag, one homeland, one state,' we have ensured our national unity and security; we have repelled the treacherous coup attempt of July 15th without the slightest compromise on the will of the people, teaching an unforgettable lesson to the coup plotters and their domestic and foreign collaborators; we have made Turkey the conscience of humanity, a confidant of the oppressed and a companion to the poor, and we have engaged in peace diplomacy on every ground and in every geography, without discrimination, most recently in the Russia-Ukraine war." Today, in your presence, we will present the Turkey's Power Special Award to our esteemed President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who brought together delegations at the same table in Istanbul for peace and was applauded by all parties. He questioned the international system, which failed to produce justice and establish peace, by proclaiming "The World is Bigger Than Five" and "A More Just World is Possible" at every opportunity. He spoke to the conscience of humanity. He was the architect of Turkey's development and freedom from external dependency through massive strides made in almost every field, from education to healthcare, transportation to technology, and the economy to the defense industry. "Turkey is gradually approaching its goal of becoming one of the top 10 economies."

Mahmut Asmalı emphasized that Turkey has made significant progress in every sector over the past 20 years, from the automotive and defense industries to construction and agriculture. He said, "We have proudly witnessed, and God willing, continue to witness, the implementation of unimaginable achievements one by one. With his resolute stance, fair perspective, emphasis on transparency, and vision that analyzes the future, our President is encouraging Turkey to rise to the forefront in almost every sector. Our industrialists, deeply embracing this strength and relentlessly advancing in the face of challenges, are developing products and services that are preferred around the world."

Asmalı stated that Türkiye is gradually approaching its goal of becoming one of the world's top 10 economies. "Our country stood out by implementing the right action plans at the right time during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our country has distinguished itself from the global crisis climate thanks to our strong performance in areas such as public order, employment, production, and exports, as well as healthcare services." He commented:

"Our producers, industrialists, and entrepreneurs entered 2022 with a much more positive outlook."

Asmalı noted that the Turkish economy was hit by a shock caused by the rise in the exchange rate in the final months of 2021, and noted the following:

"Following the 'Turkish Lira Promotion Package' announced by our President on December 20th, our producers, industrialists, and entrepreneurs entered 2022 with a much more positive outlook. The measures taken restored stability in the markets. During this period, our government implemented a new economic program that will grow Türkiye through investment, employment, production, exports, and a current account surplus. With advanced technology applications that leverage our domestic and national production power, we have reached a point where we challenge the world. Our strong supply chains and vision of quality production have opened up brand new markets for our country in foreign trade. As a result, last year, we achieved $225.4 billion in exports, reaching the highest annual export figure of all time. This year, with export figures announced monthly,
