Following the Local Elections, Abdurrahman Kaan, Chairman of the Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MÜSİAD), issued a written statement. Kaan stated the following:

We hope the Local Election results will be beneficial for our country and nation.

We congratulate all the winning mayors and wish them a successful term in office, understanding the vital importance of municipal governance in ensuring public access to services.

In this election, where the democratic will achieved a voter turnout of up to 83%, our people demonstrated their faith and loyalty to democracy with great maturity. Our goal at the end of the "March 31st Local Elections" should be economic stability and development. In a 4.5-year period without elections, the completion of public transformations, the clarification of the economic reforms to be introduced following the "New Economic Plan," the implementation of reshaped economic models along the production-investment-export line, the improvement of social welfare by supporting employment, and the recapture of our country's growth trend should be our common goal.

We also state that, as the most comprehensive organization in the business and capital world, we are ready to provide every support we can to ensure the swift implementation of permanent, long-term, and multifaceted structural changes that will make our country a reliable investment environment and trade partner in the international competitive arena. We reiterate that, on this path we embarked on with the motto "Let Turkey Be Our Issue," the common call of everyone whose "issue" is to serve this country with enthusiasm and fervor.

For Turkey, which will be the game-changer and the one setting the rules, rather than the one accepting and implementing them within the changing international economic and political conjuncture, it is time to learn positive lessons from past experiences, to work earnestly and produce in the light of knowledge.
