The Construction and Building Materials sector is the largest sector of MUSIAD in terms of member potential. The Construction and Building Materials sector is the most dynamic sector of our country's economy in terms of the added value and employment it creates. It has an important place in the economic structure due to its intensive use of labor, its contribution to the socio-economic welfare level and its direct connection with the production of hundreds of types of goods and services. It is also the locomotive of the country's economy in terms of the added value and employment it creates. The Turkish construction sector, which is largely based on domestic capital, concerns hundreds of professions and positively affects the employment and production process. The construction sector, which has great experience and potential in the national and international arena, is called the locomotive sector due to its ability to activate more than 200 sub-sectors affiliated to it. As the MUSIAD Construction and Building Materials Sector Board, we organize reports, events, etc. to contribute to the development of our country's construction sector and to present our solution suggestions.

1981 yılında Çankırı’da doğan Ömer Kandemir, Maltepe Üniversitesi İşletme Fakültesi’nde yüksek lisans eğitimi aldı. Beton elemanları üretimi ve kentsel dönüşüm alanlarında faaliyet gösteren AS-TON Yapı Elemanları A.Ş. ve Devrez İnşaat A.Ş.’nin yöneticisidir. İki dönem Sektör Kurulu Üyeliği yapan Kandemir, 2025–2027 döneminde İnşaat ve Yapı Malzemeleri Sektör Kurulu Başkanı olarak görev yapmaktadır.
